What is generated by AI
All recipes, menus and recipe photos on cookAIfood are created by artificial intelligence. We use third-party models: a large language model from OpenAI writes the recipes, tips and descriptions, and image models hosted by Replicate create the food photos. The models we use change over time as better ones become available.
What that means for you
- Recipes can contain mistakes. Check quantities, cooking times and food-safety steps, and use your own judgement in the kitchen.
- Photos are illustrations. An AI-generated image may not match what you will cook, and may show ingredients or details that are not in the recipe.
- Nutrition values are estimates and diet labels (for example vegetarian, gluten-free or keto) are automatic suggestions, not certifications. If you have an allergy or an intolerance, always read the ingredient list and check the products you buy.
- No medical or dietary advice. cookAIfood is for cooking inspiration. It does not replace advice from a doctor or a dietitian.
- Drink pairings are generic suggestions for adults of legal drinking age and always include an alcohol-free option.
How AI content is labelled
Pages with AI-generated recipes and photos say so on the page. We do not yet add a machine-readable "AI-generated" marker inside the image files; this is on our list.
Photos you upload
If you use "recipe from a photo", your photo is sent to OpenAI to describe the visible ingredients, and cookAIfood uses it only for that purpose. Please upload only photos of food or ingredients and do not include people. We delete the photo from our server right after it has been processed. See the Privacy Policy for details.
