Steps
1. In a shallow bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined.
2. Spread chocolate spread generously between the two slices of bread to make a sandwich.
3. Dip each side of the sandwich into the egg mixture, allowing it to soak for a few seconds.
4. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add a little butter.
5. Cook the sandwich for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.
6. Remove from skillet, slice in half, and serve warm.
7. Optionally, sprinkle with powdered sugar and add fresh fruit on the side.
