Steps
1. Soak the rice cakes in warm water for 10 minutes if they are hard, then drain.
2. In a pan, heat sesame oil over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant.
3. Add the thinly sliced beef and cook until just browned.
4. Stir in gochujang, gochugaru, soy sauce, and sugar, mixing well with the beef.
5. Pour in the beef broth and add the rice cakes. Simmer gently for 8-10 minutes until the sauce thickens and rice cakes become tender.
6. Plate the tteokbokki and beef mixture.
7. Carefully place the caviar on top and sprinkle with edible gold powder.
8. Garnish with sliced spring onions and toasted sesame seeds before serving.
