Steps
1. In a small bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes until frothy.
2. In a mixing bowl, mix flour and salt. Add melted butter and yeast mixture; stir until a soft dough forms.
3. Knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for 5 minutes until smooth and elastic.
4. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise for 45 minutes in a warm place.
5. Meanwhile, mix diced apples with brown sugar and cinnamon; set aside.
6. After dough has risen, roll it into a small rectangle.
7. Spread caramel sauce evenly over the dough, then sprinkle the apple mixture on top.
8. Roll the dough tightly into a log and cut into a bun shape.
9. Place the bun on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper; cover and let rise for another 20 minutes.
10. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake buns for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
11. Allow to cool slightly, then dust with powdered sugar if desired before serving.
