Steps

1. Preheat oven to 250°C (480°F) and place a pizza stone or baking tray inside to heat. 2. Lightly flour your work surface and roll out the pizza dough into a thin 10-inch circle. 3. Spread the crushed tomatoes evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edge. 4. Season the tomato sauce lightly with salt. 5. Tear or slice the fresh mozzarella and distribute it evenly over the sauce. 6. Slide the pizza onto the preheated stone or tray and bake for 7-9 minutes, until the crust is crispy and cheese is melted. 7. Remove pizza from oven, scatter fresh basil leaves on top, and drizzle with olive oil. 8. Slice and serve immediately.
