Steps

In a bowl, combine whole wheat flour, salt, and carom seeds. Gradually add water, kneading to form a soft dough. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 20 minutes. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Divide the dough into small balls and roll each ball into a thin circle. Carefully slide the rolled Poori into the hot oil, and fry until it puffs up and turns golden brown, about 30 seconds on each side. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Serve hot with your favorite curry or chutney.
