
Steps
- Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear, then soak it for 15 minutes.
- In a pot, melt the butter over medium heat, add cumin seeds and let them splutter.
- Add the chopped tomatoes and sauté until soft, then stir in turmeric and salt.
- Add the paneer cubes and cook for 2-3 minutes until they slightly brown.
- Drain the rice and add it to the pot, mixing with the tomato and paneer mixture.
- Pour in 2 cups of water, bring to a boil, then cover and simmer on low heat for 15-20 minutes until the rice is cooked.
- Fluff the rice with a fork and garnish with fresh coriander before serving.
