Traeger Smoked Burnt Ends with a Maple Chipotle Glaze

Tender, smoky burnt ends made from a chuck roast, finished with a sweet and spicy maple chipotle glaze. Perfectly caramelized on the Traeger for an irresistible bark and rich flavor.

Steps

1. Preheat your Traeger smoker to 225°F. 2. Season the chuck roast cubes generously with salt, pepper, and the beef rub. 3. Place the meat cubes directly on the grill grates and smoke for 2.5 hours. 4. Remove the meat and place into a foil pan; spritz with apple juice. 5. Cover with foil and cook for another 1 hour to tenderize. 6. Mix BBQ sauce, maple syrup, and chipotle powder in a bowl. 7. Toss the meat cubes in the glaze. 8. Return meat to the smoker, uncovered, for another 30-45 minutes until caramelized and sticky. 9. Remove and let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
