Bagara Rice

Steps

1. Rinse the basmati rice under cold water until the water runs clear. 2. In a pan, heat ghee and sauté the onions until translucent. 3. Add green chili, ginger, cloves, cardamom, and cinnamon. Saute for a minute. 4. Add the rinsed rice, turmeric powder, salt, and water. Bring to a boil. 5. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes until the rice is cooked. 6. Fluff the rice with a fork, garnish with fresh cilantro, and serve hot.
