
Steps
- Prepare the brown rice according to package instructions and let it cool.
- In a pan, heat the sesame oil and scramble the beaten egg until fully cooked. Season with a pinch of salt.
- Place the nori sheet on a bamboo sushi mat or a clean surface.
- Spread the cooked brown rice evenly over the nori, leaving a 1-inch border at the top.
- Layer the mackerel, scrambled egg, cucumber, and carrot in the center of the rice.
- Carefully roll the sushi away from you, applying gentle pressure to form a tight roll.
- Use a sharp knife to slice the roll into bite-sized pieces.
- Serve with soy sauce for dipping.
