Steps
1. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and add the pasta. Cook according to package instructions until al dente.
2. While the pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
3. Add chopped tomatoes to the pan, season with salt and pepper, and cook until they soften (about 5-7 minutes).
4. Drain the pasta and add it to the pan with the tomatoes. Mix well.
5. Remove from heat and stir in the grated cheese until melted and well combined.
6. Serve warm, garnished with fresh basil leaves if desired.
