Chocolate Hazelnut Pear Charlotte

A non-traditional charlotte featuring a minimal amount of apples, enriched with juicy pears, crunchy hazelnuts, and rich dark chocolate for a unique twist on the classic dessert.

Steps

1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease a small baking dish with butter. 2. In a bowl, whisk the egg and sugar until pale and fluffy. 3. Sift the flour and baking powder into the egg mixture and fold gently. 4. Add the minced apple, cinnamon, and half of the chopped hazelnuts to the batter and mix gently. 5. Pour half the batter into the baking dish, arrange pear slices on top, then sprinkle chopped dark chocolate and remaining hazelnuts. 6. Cover with the remaining batter and smooth the surface. 7. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden and a toothpick inserted comes out clean. 8. Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.
