
Steps
- Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Add cumin seeds and let them sizzle for a few seconds.
- Add minced garlic and chopped onions, sauté until onions are translucent.
- Add turmeric, coriander, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.
- Add diced potatoes and stir to coat them in the spices.
- Pour in enough water to cover the potatoes, cover, and simmer until the potatoes are tender.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot with rice or bread.
