Steps
1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
2. Using kitchen shears, carefully cut the top shell of the lobster tail down the center, stopping at the end of the tail.
3. Gently pull apart the shell and lift the lobster meat, allowing it to rest on top of the shell.
4. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Stir in the lemon juice, lemon zest, and chopped basil.
5. Season the lobster meat with salt and pepper, then brush generously with the lemon-basil butter.
6. Place the lobster tail on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the meat is opaque and cooked through.
7. Remove from the oven and drizzle with any remaining butter. Serve with lemon wedges on the side.
