Steps
1. In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.
2. In another bowl, whisk milk, half an egg, and melted butter.
3. Gradually add wet ingredients to dry ingredients, mixing until smooth.
4. Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C).
5. Using a spoon, drop small rounds of batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2 minutes per side.
6. Remove doughnuts and drain on paper towels.
7. Using a small knife, make a hole in the side of each doughnut and fill with raspberry jam.
8. Mix granulated sugar with finely chopped mint leaves to create mint crystals.
9. Roll or sprinkle doughnuts with mint sugar crystals while still slightly warm.
