1. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente. 2. While the pasta cooks, heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. 3. Add the sliced garlic and red pepper flakes to the pan, sautéing until the garlic is golden (about 1-2 minutes). 4. Once the spaghetti is cooked, reserve a cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta. 5. Add the drained spaghetti to the pan with the garlic oil, tossing to combine. If the mixture is dry, add a bit of reserved pasta water. 6. Season with salt to taste, and garnish with fresh parsley and Parmesan cheese if desired. 7. Serve immediately and enjoy your meal!
