Steamed Rice Noodle Rolls with Pork and Carrot

Delicate rice paper rolls filled with tender pork strips and shredded carrot, steamed to a translucent perfection. A light, flavorful dish perfect as a snack or appetizer.

Steps

1. Soak each rice paper sheet briefly in warm water until flexible, then lay flat. 2. Lightly oil a shallow heat-proof pan to prevent sticking. 3. Place a small handful of shredded carrot and pork strips onto the center of each rice paper sheet. 4. Carefully roll the rice paper around the filling to form a compact roll. 5. Place the rolls into the pan and steam over boiling water for 3–4 minutes until the rolls become translucent and set. 6. Remove from the steamer and serve warm with dipping sauce of choice.

3 sheets of rice paper 1¼ cups water 100g cooked pork, thinly sliced 1 small carrot, shredded 1 tsp oil (for pan)
