Baked Oat Custard

Steps

1. Preheat your oven to 160°C (320°F). 2. In a bowl, combine the rolled oats, milk, egg, honey (or maple syrup), vanilla extract, and salt. Mix well until fully blended. 3. Pour the mixture into a small greased ramekin or baking dish. 4. Optionally, sprinkle a little cinnamon or nutmeg on top for extra flavor. 5. Place the ramekin in a larger baking dish and fill the outer dish with hot water until it reaches halfway up the sides of the ramekin (bain-marie). 6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the custard is set and the top is lightly golden. 7. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm or chilled.
