Cheese-Stuffed Chicken Cordon Bleu

Steps

1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). 2. Cut a pocket into the side of the chicken breast. 3. Season the inside of the pocket with salt and pepper. 4. Stuff the pocket with ham and Swiss cheese slices. 5. Secure the pocket with toothpicks. 6. Beat the egg in a shallow bowl. 7. Dip the stuffed chicken breast in the beaten egg, then coat with breadcrumbs. 8. Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. 9. Sear the chicken breast until golden brown on both sides. 10. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through. 11. Remove toothpicks before serving.
