A shelf-stable chewy treat made from dehydrated papaya slices infused with honey, aromatic clove, cinnamon, lemon zest, and a pinch of pink salt. Acid regulators and preservatives ensure freshness and longevity, making it a perfect snack anytime.

Steps

1. In a mixing bowl, combine honey, ground clove, cinnamon, lemon zest, pink salt, citric acid, and potassium sorbate until well blended. 2. Toss the thin papaya slices gently in the honey-spice mixture, ensuring all pieces are evenly coated. 3. Arrange the papaya slices in a single layer on a dehydrator tray lined with non-stick sheets. 4. Dehydrate at 55°C (131°F) for 10-12 hours or until the slices are chewy but not brittle. 5. Once dehydrated, allow the papaya slices to cool completely before packaging in an airtight container. 6. Store in a cool, dry place to maintain shelf stability.
