Steps

1. Use a glass or cookie cutter to cut a hole in the center of the bread slice. 2. Heat butter or oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. 3. Place the bread slice in the skillet and crack the egg into the hole. 4. Cook until the egg white is set and the bread is toasted, about 2-3 minutes. 5. Carefully flip the bread with the egg and cook for another 1-2 minutes for a runny yolk, or longer to your desired doneness. 6. Season with salt and pepper and serve immediately.
