Egg Fried Rice with Pork

A classic Chinese dish made with fluffy eggs, tender pork, and fragrant rice stir-fried to perfection.

Steps

1. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over medium heat. 2. Add the pork slices and cook until browned and cooked through. Remove from the pan and set aside. 3. In the same pan, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Stir in the minced garlic and chopped onion, and cook until fragrant and slightly softened. 4. Push the garlic and onion to one side of the pan and pour the beaten eggs into the other side. Scramble the eggs until they are cooked but still slightly runny. 5. Add the cooked rice to the pan and stir-fry with the eggs, garlic, and onion mixture. Break up any clumps of rice with a spatula. 6. Stir in the cooked pork, frozen peas and carrots, soy sauce, and sesame oil. Continue to stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes, until everything is heated through. 7. Season with salt and pepper to taste. 8. Serve hot and enjoy!
