Meatball Parmesan

Flavorful pork meatballs served with a spaghetti tomato sauce, Parmesan cheese and a handful of fresh basil leaves.

Steps

1. In a medium bowl mix the ground pork, bread crumbs, milk, salt, pepper and the egg. 2. With wetted hands, shape the meatball mix into small even balls and place them on a plate. 3. In a medium saucepan, heat the olive oil and add the garlic. 4. Add the crushed tomatoes and oregano, stirring occasionally and simmering for 10 minutes. 5. Add the meatballs to the sauce and cook for 15 minutes, stirring gently to make sure they cook evenly. 6. Add the Parmesan cheese to the sauce and cook for a few more minutes until the cheese melts. 7. Serve the meatballs on top of a bed of spaghetti with the sauce and Parmesan cheese on top. Decorate with basil leaves.

- 150 gr ground pork - 45 gr bread crumbs - 50 ml milk - Salt and pepper - 1 large egg - 1 clove of garlic - 70 gr Parmesan cheese - 1/2 cup water - 1 can of crushed tomatoes - 1 tsp olive oil - 1 tsp oregano - Fresh basil leaves for decoration
