Steps

1. Score the skin of the duck breast in a crisscross pattern, being careful not to cut into the meat. 2. Season both sides with salt and pepper. 3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. 4. Place the duck breast skin-side down and cook for 6-7 minutes until the skin is crispy and golden. 5. Flip the duck breast and cook for another 3-4 minutes for medium rare or until desired doneness. 6. Remove duck from the pan and let rest. 7. In the same pan, add minced garlic and cook for 30 seconds. 8. Add orange juice, zest, honey, soy sauce, and thyme sprig; simmer for 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened. 9. Slice the duck breast and drizzle with the orange glaze before serving.
