Steps
1. In a small bowl, combine ketchup, whiskey, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Stir well to create the smoky whiskey BBQ sauce.
2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
3. Season the chicken breast with salt and pepper.
4. Place the chicken in the skillet and cook for 5-6 minutes on one side.
5. Flip the chicken and brush generously with the BBQ sauce.
6. Continue cooking for another 5-6 minutes, basting with more sauce occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce is caramelized.
7. Remove from heat and let rest for 2 minutes before serving.
