1. Heat some oil in a pot and sauté chopped onion and minced garlic. 2. Add diced carrot and bell pepper, cook until slightly softened. 3. Stir in diced tomatoes, vegetable broth, and drained chickpeas. 4. Season with cumin, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. 5. Simmer for 20 minutes. 6. Serve hot, garnished with fresh parsley.
