
Steps
- Scrub and clean the mussels, removing any beards or debris.
- Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat.
- Add minced garlic, chopped onion, and sliced chili to the pan. Saute until fragrant and the onions are translucent.
- Increase the heat to high and add the mussels to the pan. Stir them around for a minute.
- Pour in the white wine and cover the pan. Let the mussels steam for about 5 minutes, or until they have opened up.
- Remove the lid and add butter to the pan. Stir well to combine and season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Transfer the mussels to a serving dish, pouring the sauce over them. Garnish with fresh parsley.
- Serve hot with crusty bread or over pasta.
