Spicy Indian Oatmeal Egg Curry

A flavorful and hearty Indian dish made with eggs, garlic, ginger, and oatmeal, simmered in a spicy curry sauce with onions.

Steps

1. Boil the egg until hard-boiled, peel, and set aside. 2. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Add cumin seeds and let them splutter. 3. Add minced garlic, grated ginger, and chopped onion. Sauté until the onions turn golden brown. 4. Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, and salt. Mix well. 5. Add oatmeal and stir to coat it with the spices. 6. Pour enough water to cover the oatmeal and bring it to a boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer until the oatmeal is cooked and the sauce thickens. 7. Cut the boiled egg into halves and gently place them in the curry sauce. 8. Cook for a few more minutes until the flavors meld together. 9. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot with rice or bread.
