Teriyaki Salmon Bowl

A classic Japanese-inspired main dish featuring pan-seared salmon glazed with homemade teriyaki sauce and served over steamed rice. Balanced, flavorful, and simple enough for a weeknight dinner.

Steps

1. In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, mirin, sugar, and grated ginger to make the teriyaki sauce. 2. Heat vegetable oil in a nonstick skillet over medium heat. Add the salmon fillet, skin side down, and cook for 2-3 minutes. 3. Flip the salmon and pour the teriyaki sauce over it. Spoon the sauce over the fish and let it simmer for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens. 4. Serve the glazed salmon on top of steamed rice. Drizzle remaining sauce from the pan over the salmon. 5. Garnish with green onion slices and serve with steamed broccoli on the side.
