Beer-Battered Fish and Chips

Steps

1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, paprika, garlic powder, and black pepper for the beer batter. 2. Gradually pour in the beer while whisking until the batter is smooth and lump-free. Set aside. 3. Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F (190°C). 4. Pat dry the fish fillet using a paper towel and season with salt and pepper. 5. Dip the fish fillet into the prepared beer batter, coating it evenly. 6. Carefully place the battered fish into the hot oil and fry for 4-5 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. Remove from the oil and drain on a paper towel. 7. In the same oil, fry the potato fries until golden and crispy. Drain on a paper towel and season with salt. 8.
