Steps

1. Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F). 2. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, sauté until translucent. 3. Add ground beef, cook until browned. 4. Stir in carrot and potato, cook for 5 minutes until slightly softened. 5. Mix in tomato paste and beef broth, simmer until liquid reduces and mixture thickens. Season with salt and pepper. 6. Roll out puff pastry on a floured surface. Cut into a circle slightly larger than your baking dish or pie tin. 7. Place the beef filling in the center of the pastry. 8. Fold pastry over the filling, sealing the edges by pinching or pressing with a fork. 9. Brush the top with beaten egg. 10. Bake for 20-25 minutes until pastry is golden and crisp. 11. Let cool slightly before serving.
