Steps
1. In a pot, brown the sausage over medium heat, breaking it up as it cooks.
2. Add onions and garlic, sauté until onions are translucent.
3. Pour in chicken broth, bring to a boil.
4. Add potatoes, cook until tender, about 10 minutes.
5. Lower the heat, stir in kale until wilted.
6. Pour in heavy cream, season with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.
7. Simmer for another 5 minutes, then serve hot.
