Steps
1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
2. Score the skin of the duck breast and season with salt and pepper.
3. Heat vegetable oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat. Place the duck breast skin-side down and cook for 5-6 minutes until the skin is crispy. Flip the breast and cook for another 2 minutes.
4. Transfer the skillet to the preheated oven and roast for 10-12 minutes for medium-rare or until desired doneness.
5. In a small saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, orange juice, orange zest, and minced garlic. Bring to a simmer over medium heat.
6. In a separate bowl, mix cornstarch and water to create a slurry. Add the slurry to the saucepan and cook until the glaze thickens.
7. Remove the duck breast from the oven and let it rest for a few minutes. Slice the breast and drizzle with the orange glaze.
8. Serve the crispy duck with orange glaze alongside your favorite side dishes.
