Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
Grease a small round cake pan and line the bottom with parchment paper, then dust with cocoa powder.
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the dark chocolate and butter. Melt them together in the microwave in short bursts, stirring until smooth.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, and salt until light and fluffy.
Pour the melted chocolate mixture into the egg mixture and gently fold until fully combined.
Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges are set and the center is slightly soft.
Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
