Steps
1. In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
2. Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using) and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.
3. Add the cleaned clams to the skillet and pour in the lemon juice.
4. Cover the skillet and cook for about 5-7 minutes, or until the clams open up.
5. Discard any clams that do not open. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
6. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley.
