Steps
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a skillet, brown the ground beef with onions and garlic. Season with salt and pepper.
3. Layer sliced potatoes in a greased baking dish.
4. Spread the beef mixture over the potatoes.
5. Pour cream of mushroom soup over the beef and potatoes.
6. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
7. Remove foil, sprinkle cheddar cheese on top, and bake uncovered for an additional 15 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
