Steps
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a small bowl, mix together honey, soy sauce, garlic powder, and black pepper.
3. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat.
4. Season the pork chop with salt and pepper on both sides.
5. Sear the pork chop in the hot skillet for 2-3 minutes per side.
6. Transfer the pork chop to a baking dish and brush with the honey glaze.
7. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C).
8. Let the pork chop rest for 5 minutes before serving.
