Classic Italian Chicken Parmigiana

Steps

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). 2. Season the chicken breast with salt and pepper. 3. Dredge the chicken in flour, then dip into the beaten egg, and finally coat with a mixture of Italian breadcrumbs and grated Parmesan. 4. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook the chicken until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side. 5. Place the chicken breast on a baking dish, spoon marinara sauce over it, and sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top. 6. Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly. 7. Meanwhile, cook spaghetti according to package instructions and drain. 8. Serve the chicken parmigiana over the spaghetti, garnish with fresh basil if desired.
