Indian-style Potato Onion Fritters

Crispy and flavorful fritters made with potatoes, onions, and tomatoes, perfect for a vegetarian snack with an Indian twist.

Steps

1. Peel and grate the potato. Finely chop the onion and tomato. 2. In a mixing bowl, combine the grated potato, chopped onion, and tomato. 3. Melt the butter in a pan over medium heat. Add the potato-onion-tomato mixture and sauté for 5 minutes. 4. In a small bowl, mix the mayonnaise, salt, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and garam masala. Add this mixture to the pan and cook for another 2 minutes. 5. Remove the pan from heat and let the mixture cool slightly. 6. Once cooled, add the all-purpose flour to the mixture and mix well. 7. Heat oil in a deep pan or fryer. 8. Take small portions of the mixture and shape them into flat round fritters. 9. Fry the fritters in hot oil until golden brown and crispy. 10. Drain excess oil on paper towels. 11. Serve hot with ketchup or your favorite dipping sauce.
