Steps
1. Rinse the cod fillet and pat dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
2. Trim the asparagus ends and steam them for about 4-5 minutes until tender but crisp.
3. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
4. Add the cod fillet to the skillet and cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until the fish is opaque and flakes easily.
5. Reduce heat to low, add butter, lemon zest, and lemon juice to the skillet. Spoon the lemon butter sauce over the cod for 1-2 minutes.
6. Serve the cod topped with the lemon butter sauce alongside the steamed asparagus.
