Steps

1. Pat the salmon fillet dry and season both sides with salt and pepper. 2. Heat olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium heat. 3. Place salmon skin-side down (if it has skin) and cook for 4-5 minutes without moving. 4. Flip the salmon carefully and add butter and minced garlic to the pan. 5. Spoon the melted butter and garlic over the salmon while it cooks for another 3-4 minutes until cooked through. 6. Remove the pan from heat and squeeze lemon juice over the salmon. 7. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve immediately.
