Steps
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
2. In a saucepan, combine water, sugar, and lemon juice to make the syrup. Heat until the sugar dissolves, then set aside to cool.
3. Melt the butter and mix it with the kataifi pastry, ensuring it is well coated.
4. In a small baking dish, layer half of the kataifi pastry, then spread the cheese evenly on top.
5. Top with the remaining kataifi pastry, pressing down gently.
6. Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes until golden and crispy.
7. Once baked, remove from the oven and immediately pour the cooled syrup over the hot pastry.
8. Allow it to soak for a few minutes, then garnish with crushed pistachios if desired.
