Pan-Seared Mackerel with Lemon Garlic Sauce

A simple and flavorful pan-seared mackerel dish served with a zesty lemon garlic sauce. Perfectly crispy skin and tender flesh make this meal satisfying and nutritious.

Steps

1. Pat the mackerel fillet dry with paper towels and season both sides with salt and pepper. 2. Heat olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. 3. Place the mackerel fillet skin-side down and cook for 3-4 minutes until the skin is crispy. 4. Flip the fillet and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the fish is cooked through. 5. Remove the fish from the pan and set aside. 6. In the same pan, add minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant. 7. Add lemon juice and zest, stirring to combine and slightly reduce the sauce for 1 minute. 8. Drizzle the lemon garlic sauce over the mackerel and garnish with fresh parsley if desired. 9. Serve immediately.
