Steps

1. Place the beef stew meat in a bowl and season with fish sauce and garlic 2. In a separate bowl, marinate the onion in 1/4 cup beef broth. 3. In a large saucepan, over medium heat, heat up ½ cup of beef broth and add the marinated onions and shallot. Cook for 3-5 minutes. 4. Add the remaining beef broth, followed by the stewed beef and seasonings. Increase the heat and bring the soup to a boil. 5. Reduce the heat and allow to simmer for 15 minutes. 6. Once the soup has cooked for 15 minutes, add the rice vermicelli and cook for an additional 3-5 minutes or until softened. 7. Garnish with green onions, bean sprouts and Sriracha hot sauce (optional). Enjoy!
