Steps
Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C).
On a floured surface, stretch the pizza dough into an 8-inch round.
Transfer the dough to a baking sheet or pizza stone.
Spread the crushed tomatoes evenly over the dough, leaving a small border.
Arrange the mozzarella slices on top of the tomatoes.
Drizzle with olive oil, and season with salt and black pepper.
Bake in the preheated oven for about 10-12 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the cheese is bubbling.
Remove from the oven and top with fresh basil leaves before slicing.
