
Steps
- In a small saucepan, bring 1 cup of water to a boil.
- Add the mustard seeds and fenugreek seeds; let them simmer for about 2 minutes to infuse the flavors.
- Stir in the black tea leaves, turmeric powder, and red chili powder. Remove from heat and let steep for 5 minutes.
- Strain the tea into a pitcher, discarding the solids.
- While the tea is still warm, add the jaggery (or honey) and stir until dissolved.
- Allow the tea to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate until chilled.
- Once chilled, stir in the lemon juice.
- Serve over ice cubes and garnish with fresh mint leaves.
