Steps

- Peel and finely chop the garlic, ginger, onion, and tomatoes. - Peel the potatoes and cut them into small cubes. - Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. - Add the cumin seeds and let them splutter. - Add the chopped garlic and ginger, and sauté for a minute. - Add the chopped onion and cook until it turns translucent. - Add the turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well. - Add the chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn mushy. - Add the potato cubes and mix everything together. - Cover the pan and cook until the potatoes are tender, stirring occasionally. - Sprinkle garam masala over the curry and mix well. - Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot with rice or naan bread.
