Steps

  1. - Peel and finely chop the garlic, ginger, onion, and tomatoes.
  2. - Peel the potatoes and cut them into small cubes.
  3. - Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
  4. - Add the cumin seeds and let them splutter.
  5. - Add the chopped garlic and ginger, and sauté for a minute.
  6. - Add the chopped onion and cook until it turns translucent.
  7. - Add the turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt. Mix well.
  8. - Add the chopped tomatoes and cook until they turn mushy.
  9. - Add the potato cubes and mix everything together.
  10. - Cover the pan and cook until the potatoes are tender, stirring occasionally.
  11. - Sprinkle garam masala over the curry and mix well.
  12. - Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot with rice or naan bread.
