
Steps
- In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, hoisin sauce, sesame oil, cornstarch, Szechuan peppercorns, and red pepper flakes. Set aside.
- Heat some oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat. Add beef slices and stir-fry until browned. Remove beef from the pan.
- In the same pan, add a bit more oil if needed. Add garlic, ginger, and onions. Stir-fry until fragrant.
- Add bell peppers and continue to stir-fry for a few minutes until slightly softened.
- Return the beef to the pan. Pour the sauce over the beef and vegetables. Toss everything together until well coated and heated through.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve the Szechuan spicy beef stir-fry over cooked rice.

- 150g beef sirloin, thinly sliced
- 1/2 red bell pepper, sliced
- 1/2 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1/4 cup sliced onions
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp fresh ginger, minced
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp hoisin sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 1/2 tsp Szechuan peppercorns
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Cooked rice, for serving
