Steps
1. In a blender or food processor, combine chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, minced garlic, olive oil, ground cumin, and a pinch of salt.
2. Blend until smooth, adding water gradually to achieve desired creamy consistency.
3. Taste and adjust salt or lemon juice as needed.
4. Warm the pita bread in a dry skillet over medium heat for about 1-2 minutes each side, or until soft and slightly puffed.
5. Cut the warm pita into wedges.
6. Transfer hummus to a serving bowl, drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with chopped parsley if desired.
7. Serve immediately with warm pita wedges for dipping.
