Apple and Chicken Skillet with Sage

Steps

1. Season the chicken breast with salt, pepper, and a pinch of cinnamon if using. 2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. 3. Add the chicken breast and cook for 5-6 minutes on each side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside. 4. In the same skillet, add shallots and garlic, sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant. 5. Add apple slices and sage, cook for 3-4 minutes until apples soften slightly. 6. Pour in chicken broth or water to deglaze the pan, scraping up browned bits. 7. Return chicken to the skillet, spoon the apple mixture over it, and cook for another 1-2 minutes to combine flavors. 8. Serve hot.
